| Please note: This addition has not yet been publicly confirmed. In late 2007, the backstage tour of the Disney Channel at Walt Disney Television Studios will become host to a very special interactive opportunity – the chance to interview Stitch, live! As you make your way into the large press room, the giant screen flickers to life and Stitch appears, live from outer space. Through lots of action and some of his trademark alien language, you’ll be able to communicate with the little blue terror and join him for new games and adventures each time! When Stitchs nemesis, Captain Gantu, shows up and wants his ship back, it’s up to you to help Stitch escape! This state-of-the-art, interactive, live experience is a stunning combination of real-time computer animation and live interactive, and definitely never the same show twice! Production Footnotes A rumour that the Stitch Encounter may be coming to Walt Disney Studios first began in early October 2006, but immediately this became a very viable future attraction for the Studios. On 24th October 2006, WDSFans.com reported that the attraction had been confirmed to Cast Members at Walt Disney Studios Park, with the opening date remaining a secret. The attraction will take the place of the current “Art Attack” stage (inside the Walt Disney Television Studios attraction), a large studio room originally used as the live set for the Zapping Zone and Playhouse Disney productions for Disney Channel until early 2004, when interactive games and art exhibitions were added and the stage became a “free-roaming” area for guests. The stage is separate to Disney Channel CyberSpace (the location of CyberSpace Mountain), which will remain in place as a second key feature of the updated tour. It has been reported that there will be four shows every hour, with performances taking place in either French, English or Spanish. History |
