Overview

Rendez-vous ici…

Where the actors, producers and most important Studio visitors rub shoulders in a plush art deco setting, Restaurant des Stars is now home to a very special, very little head chef…

The restaurant originally opened with the park on 16th March 2002 as a “Buffeteria Service” location, allowing guests to queue canteen-like along the serving counters to choose their food before paying at the end. On 27th August 2007, the service was officially changed to an “all-you-can-eat” buffet, the first in the park, with a flat price and a reorganised interior given a light overlay themed to Pixar’s ‘Ratatouille’ film, about a Parisian rat who wishes he could cook in a restaurant. Posters, placemats, food labels and menus were all given the film’s logo and styling, whilst Cast Members wearing Ratatouille chef hats encouraged guests outside to step inside and eat.

This overlay of the restaurant’s details eventually found great purpose when, the following Summer from July 2008, it welcomed a brand new “living character” creation — Chef Rémy himself! Sitting on the platter of a serving trolley, this wonderfully life-like miniature animatronic looks diners right in the eye, squeeks with delight and even dances to a rousing burst of French accordion music, amongst other routines!

And what has the little rat been cooking? A wide range of general international dishes to suit all tastes, with vegetarian choices and plenty of desserts. Bottled water is included in the set-price buffet, other drinks are charged additionally. A full wine list is also available.

Though largely still as unremarkable a dining location as when it first opened, the buffet menu here will now please almost anyone and the chance of a live appearance by what truly appears to be the real Rémy immediately makes Restaurant des Stars a highly recommended location for all.
