Area Development

Place des Stars

Central area of Production Courtyard occupied by the Place des Stars Stage, surrounded by plaster-cast handprints of international cinema stars.

Hollywood Boulevard

A large portion of Production Courtyard has now become Hollywood Boulevard. It is expected that the entire courtyard will receive a more distinctive Hollywood theme in coming years, eventually being entirely renamed to Hollywood Studio.

History

Production Courtyard opened as a generic movie studio lot, but is now in the process of a major Hollywood “placemaking” makeover and expansion including The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and a new attraction at Walt Disney Television Studios.

Music

Production Courtyard Loop

The music of Production Courtyard is classic, grand and full of history. You’ll hear many European themes such as Les Parapluies de Cherbourg and 37°2 le matin, modern blockbusters such as Star Wars and Beverly Hills Cop and sweeping classics like A Countess from Hong Kong and A Summer Place.

Closed & Replaced

Television Production Tour at Walt Disney Television Studios

(2002 – 2007) Walt Disney Television Studios originally hoped to offer a backstage tour of Disney Channel‘s French headquarters, guided by the livewire presenter Julie through the video mixing suite, past a live set for Zapping Zone (and later Playhouse Disney), ending in the CyberSpace post-show games area. The main production stage was turned into an Art Attack-themed area in 2004 accessible to guests. Closed 16th April 2007 to make way for Stitch Live!.

This is Production Courtyard, the action-packed epicentre of the Studios, with more show-biz dazzle and backstage magic than all of Hollwood itself!

Map

There’s nowhere better to begin your starring role than CinéMagique, a surprise-filled tribute to the wonders of cinema which takes you on a fast-paced journey through classics as varied as Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, Nosferatu and Star Wars, before culminating in the ultimate, romantic happy ending on the yellow brick road.

Across the courtyard, Studio Tram Tour: Behind the Magic gives you unprecedented access to the backlots of the Studios, paying tribute to the talented people behind the camera who make the magic, the mayhem and the mochas! You’ll be caught in a thunderous special effects sequence, spot the latest film star fashions and witness a chilling vision of a London scorched by dragons!

More backstage magic will soon be found at Walt Disney Television Studios, giving guests the chance to interview Stitch – live in outer space! The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror and its Hollywood Boulevard surroundings will transform half of the courtyard with a dazzling new 1950s theme.

Production Courtyard is also the home of exciting live productions such as the lively Lilo & Stitch Catch the Wave Party and the toe-tapping High School Musical On Tour!

With a glamorous Art Deco style and a selection of action-packed attractions, the movie magic on Production Courtyard continues long after “Cut – That’s a wrap!”.
