Wilkommen auf King Ludwig’s Castle!

Inspired by the famous Neuschwanstein
castle, this enchanted castle deep in heart of Disney Village serves up
delicious Bavarian cuisine against a splendid fairytale backdrop. As a
member of the royal court, you�ll dine in romantic 19th century splendour,
surrounded by ornate carvings, wood panels and colourful flags heralding a
mouth-watering feast to come.

Here�s one of the King�s men – with a
message in hand! �Gastronomic treats ahead.� First stop Munich: Oktoberfest
Style Pretzels with Sweet Mustard anyone? Further east on the menu, a choice
of Wiener Schnitzel or Braised Mushrooms with Sp�tzl�s in cream sauce.

Your Bavarian feast is completed with
beer from the Royal Kaltenberg Brewery itself. Then, for dessert, your
majesty has whipped up a sweet surprise to give a happy ending to a
magnificent meal. From sizzling starters to �mmm� main courses, it�s a royal
feast all year round at King Ludwig�s Castle!

Indoor dining is situated across two
floors. In the warmer months, a small outdoor area is also available for
drinks and light snacks.

The restaurant also features a small
shop, located in the hexagonal entrance extension, that stocks a good range
of Bavarian collectibles, souvenirs and toys with King Ludwig’s merchandise.

History

King Ludwig’s Castle is located in
the former building of Rock ‘n’ Roll America, a bar and restaurant that
opened with Disney Village (then known as Streets of America Shop and Festival Disney
respectively) in 1992.

Rock ‘n’ Roll America closed in
November 2002 and work began immediately to remove all traces of the former
theme.  The main building was kept, with a new hexagonal extension at
the front carrying most of the new themeing work.

The restaurant was designed by DLP-I
(Disneyland Resort Paris Imagineering), with financing and sponsorship coming from the
K�nig Ludwig brewery
in Germany itself (which provides both the branding and beer of the
restaurant).  This resulted in the restaurant becoming a
non-Disney property and its exclusion from general resort meal
promotions and discounts.  The restaurant is managed on a day-to-day
basis by Groupe Flo.
