Eurostar from London Waterloo to Marne-La-Valle/Chessy
When you wish upon a Eurostar the magic is just under 3hrs away from London Waterloo International or under 2hrs from Ashford in Kent. The amazing speed of the Eurostar trains and journey through the channel tunnel between Folkestone and Sangatte provides an unforgettable beginning and ending to a magical short break in Disneyland Resort Paris, and with more special offers and extra special prices the best way to get to Disneyland Resort Paris is more affordable than ever!
By Car & Eurotunnel or Ferry
If you’re driving to Disneyland Resort Paris, the best way to cross the channel is Eurotunnel. The amazing service here gets you from Folkestone (near Dover) to Sangatte (near Calais) in 35-minutes on board the clean, air conditioned trains. From check in to driving onto the fast French motorway network (A26 and A1) only takes 1-hour, and the journey is an unforgettably original way to begin your holiday – aswell as being a lifesaver for anyone who’s scared of flying or gets sea-sick quickly! The Dover to Calais ferry also provides a reasonably quick crossing and a wonderfully classic way to cross the English Channel, with the white cliffs of Dover behind you as you sail toward France. Once you’re in France, you need to take the A1 Autoroute towards Calais before turning off onto the A104 when you get near Paris and then following the A4 towards junction 14, where you’ll find the Disney Parks & Hotels. The journey from Calais to Disneyland Resort Paris takes about 4+hours and the autoroutes do use tolls, but the modern, quick autoroutes certainly make up for this.
Fly
Undoubtedly the quickest way to Disneyland Resort Paris from the UK is to take a plane from one of the UK’s many airports to Charles De Gaulle (CDG) airport North-East of Paris. From here you can simply take the VEA Shuttle Bus from Terminal 1 to the Marne-La-Valle/Chessy train station in the centre of the resort or the resort hotels. Another opetion is to take a TGV train from the Airport’s dedicated train station direct to the Marne-La-Valle/Chessy train station. The TGV train takes 9-minutes whereas the VEA shuttle takes 45-minutes and the cost for an adult ticket for either costs almost the same. Make sure you remember though that not all TGV trains from CDG stop at Marne-La-Valle/Chessy train station, and the VEA shuttle only runs between certain hours of the day. Check out www.vea.fr and www.tgv.fr for more detailed information.
RER Train from Paris and the le-de-France
Disneyland Resort Paris is just 30-minutes away from the centre of Paris by RER train! That mean you can go from one historic landmark to another in just over half an hour – the Eiffel Tower to Le Chteau de la Belle au Bois Dormant! It sounds like a dream, but at Disneyland Resort Paris dreams are reality! There is at least one train to and from the resort every 15-minutes. Just remember to take RER Line A direction Marne-La-Valle/Chessy. A day in Disneyland Resort Paris adds an extra touch of magic to a short break in Paris, and a day out in Paris adds an extra cultural touch to a Disneyland Resort Paris holiday!
