If you’ve ever stepped up to the challenge of dancing on a mat or arcade machine in front of a plain video screen, imagine this — you’re doing it for real, with a park full of fellow party-goers, and the famous(-ly unpredicatable) blue alien Stitch as your DJ!

Several times each day, his booming and beating podium will roll into Discoveryland, bringing with it an inescapable feel-good atmosphere. Can you match the extra-terrestrial master of dance?

It’s Dance Time…in Discoveryland, a massive, movin’ dance party!

Pumping, jumping, live and thumping! From his space decks, wild thing DJ Stitch bigs up the crowd as only he knows how, mixin’ ’n’ scratchin’ to get you stompin’!

From hip hop breakin’ to big time boogie beats, everyone’s groovin’ to the smooth cool moves and top tunes! Get down at the dance-tastic duel with DJ Stitch.

Everyone joins together for a far out, sparks-flaring finale!

After all, It’s Dance Time…in Discoveryland!

What we know so far…

• Perhaps taking a cue from the ever-popular High School Musical shows which have rolled into Walt Disney Studios Park for two Summers in a row now, it is rumoured that ‘It’s Dance Time… in Discoveryland’ will feature Stitch atop a moving stage — giant DJ mixing decks, to be precise. He will challenge park guests to join in his own party game — a dance contest — where you’re invited to stand on a circular mat on the floor with four differently coloured segments. As the music plays, you’ll need to jump and step between the colours, creating the dance moves.
• Nothing is yet known about where exactly in Discoveryland the event will take place, nor the exact kind of music to be used or whether Stitch will have any (either human or character) friends as part of the show.
• In April 2009, an event named ‘Stitch’s SuperSonic Celebration’ will debut at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. It is not yet known, however, whether these two events will share any similarities. Initially, it appears that the Florida event will have a fixed performance area, rather than this event’s podium that will “roll” into the park (and out again when the show has finished).
