September 2002
FASTPASS is no longer
used at Studio Tram Tour due to queuing and loading difficulties when
using the system.  The old FASTPASS side of the station is now
used for the German/Dutch and Spanish/Italian tours, whilst the normal
queue is used just for English/French tours.
July 2004
Disneyland Park’s major
new show “The Legend of the Lion King” opens and the huge queues for
the show give many people the idea that FASTPASS could be a possible
solution for the problem.  As yet though, nothing official has
been announced and is unlikely to be for some time.
September 2004
There are rumours
floating about at the moment that the whole FASTPASS system may be
withdrawn from the Walt Disney Studios Park from October 1st 2004.
The reasons for this are the poor attendance figures which mean there
is no need for the system or the extra staff to help run it in such a
small park.  The system may return in the busier summer months or
in the future when the park is expanded, but for now it is very likely
that the machines will be covered up and left unused – much like they
already have been at Studio Tram Tour.
A new ticketing system
is now used for The Legend of the Lion King.  It doesn’t use the
FASTPASS name or machines, but it follows a similar idea.  More
